What we build to, what is honestly not finished, and how to reach a person if this site gets in your way. We would rather publish a specific list with gaps on it than a vague promise with none.

Our target

We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

No third-party audit has been carried out. Until one has, we do not claim conformance — what follows is what the build is held to and what we know is missing, not a verified result. If that distinction seems pedantic, it is the difference between a commitment and a claim, and only one of those is honest right now.

What this site is built to

These are our own checks, applied as the site is built. They are not an independent finding.

  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1. Our brass accent measures 3.2:1 against the page background, so it is used only for marks and large numerals — never for body text.
  • A visible keyboard focus indicator on everything interactive: two pixels, offset, never removed.
  • Real labels on every form field, and errors described in words rather than by colour alone.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels, and mobile inputs set at 16px so they do not force a zoom.
  • Usable down to a 375 pixel screen, and readable at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Headings in order, and a page structure a screen reader can move through rather than around.
  • Almost no motion, by design. Where any exists, prefers-reduced-motion is respected.
  • Anything disabled is genuinely disabled, not just styled to look it.

What is not finished

  • No formal third-party audit has been carried out. Until one has, we cannot and do not claim conformance.
  • Resort photography does not have written alternative text yet. Placeholder images currently describe what they are, which is not the same thing.
  • The location map has no non-visual equivalent. Written directions and distances belong beside it and are not there yet.
  • The operator console is not built for small screens. It is not a public page, but it is a real gap and it belongs on a list that is meant to be complete.

Operator decision

[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: whether a third-party accessibility audit is commissioned before launch or shortly after. When one is done, publish the result here with its date. An accessibility page that never changes is a page nobody acted on.]

If this site gets in your way

Tell us what you were trying to do and what stopped you. Write to access@wayrali.com. We read every one of these and we will tell you whether we can fix it and roughly when — including when the answer is that we cannot.

Operator decision

[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: the access@wayrali.com mailbox does not exist yet. Publishing an accessibility contact that bounces is worse than publishing none — it is the address someone reaches for when they already cannot use the site.]

If you would rather arrange a stay with a person than through this site, that is a completely normal way to use this business and the price is identical. It is one operator and a small number of dates; there is no automated path you are being kept away from.

Telephone: [NEEDS OPERATOR INPUT: support phone].

Operator decision

[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: the alternative route for someone who cannot use this site. The design assumed a staffed telephone line answered by a person. No line exists, so email is currently the only route, and a single-channel fallback is a weak one for exactly the people this page is for.]
