Cancellation policy
If you cancel within 14 calendar days of making the booking, you get a full refund of everything you paid. That is unconditional, and nothing further down this page reduces it.

Draft for attorney review
This page has not been reviewed or signed off by an attorney. It is written to be redlined rather than relied on: the bracketed items in it mark every point where a real decision is still missing, and they are left visible on purpose.
What happens if you cancel, if we cannot deliver your stay, or if the property cancels on us. Written plainly, because a policy you have to decode is not a policy you can rely on.
1. The 14-day right, which nothing below overrides
If you cancel within 14 calendar days of making the booking, you get a full refund of everything you paid. That is unconditional. No schedule further down this page, and no term anywhere else on this site, reduces it, shortens it, or attaches a condition to it.
This is not goodwill and it is not ours to withdraw. The card network rules that govern accommodation of this kind require a full refund where a cardholder cancels within 14 calendar days of the contract date, or of the date the contract and related documents were received. If any tier below ever appeared to bite inside that window, the 14-day right wins and your bank would enforce it.
Attorney review
[Attorney review] The interaction between the 14-day right and a stay that begins fewer than 14 days after it is booked needs stating precisely: whether the right runs to check-in, whether it survives arrival, and how it is disclosed at the point of sale. It is called out rather than hedged, because hedging it is the failure mode.
Note
The cancellation cut-off dates for a specific booking have to be shown at the point of payment, worked out for that booking, and displayed separately from the general terms. That is a card network requirement, not a design preference — so this page is the general statement, and your own dates appear on your own booking.
2. If you cancel after that
After the 14-day window, what you get back depends on how close to check-in you cancel. The reason is straightforward: when you book, those dates come off the site and stay off, and there is normally only one unit on them. Dates handed back three weeks out are unlikely to be let again.

Operator decision
[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: the tier windows and percentages. The design drafted a schedule (full refund at 90+ days, 50% at 60–89, nothing under 60) and it is deliberately not reproduced here, because on a booking made fewer than 90 days out it would bite inside the mandatory 14-day window. Whatever is chosen must begin after day 14, must be computed and shown for the specific booking at the point of payment, and must match what the payment processor has been told.]
Tax collected on a cancelled booking is returned in full whenever a refund is issued, at every tier, including any tier where part of the accommodation charge is not returned. We do not keep tax we have not remitted, and we do not remit tax on a stay that did not happen.
3. How to cancel
Contact us. Email support@wayrali.com, or reply to any email we have sent you about the booking.
There is no cancel button, on purpose. With one unit on those dates, thirty seconds of conversation is better than processing a cancellation somebody did not mean to make.
We confirm every cancellation in writing, with the amount being returned, before the money moves.
4. Changing dates or names
- Dates cannot be changed. A stay is a fixed span in specific accommodation; moving it is not a change, it is a different booking. If you need different dates, cancel under the terms above and book the dates you want, if we have them.
- Guest names can be corrected. The name on the reservation has to match the identification presented at the front desk, so tell us as soon as you know. [NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: how late a name correction can be made, and whether it is free.]
- Adding guests is possible up to the stated occupancy of the accommodation. Above that is not a policy we set — it is what the property will allow.
5. If we cancel
You get everything back, every time, without asking.
If we cannot place your reservation with the property, or we find a problem with the dates after you have paid, we refund the full amount including any fee we charged. We do that when we find out, not when you chase us.
We will also tell you what happened, in plain language, and what we tried.
Operator decision
[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: whether we offer to source comparable dates elsewhere when we cancel, and at what price. The design drafted “at our cost, with no markup”. That is a real commitment with a real cost attached and it is not stated here until somebody agrees to it.]
6. If the property cancels
Occasionally a property cancels a reservation for reasons on its side. It is the situation we are most exposed to and the one we push hardest on.
- You are refunded in full, automatically, including any fee we charged.
- We take it up with the property. We hold the right to those nights, so a cancellation of our reservation is a dispute we can pursue.
- We tell you what we find either way, including when the answer is that we have nothing.
Operator decision
[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: whether a callback within a stated period is promised after a property cancellation. The design drafted “within one business day”. That is a staffing commitment and it has not been made, so no window is stated above.]
We cannot reimburse flights, car hire, or other travel you booked around these dates. We would rather say that here than let you discover it at the worst possible moment. If you have non-refundable travel, tell us — it changes what we go looking for.
7. Refund timing
Refunds go back to the card that paid. After we send one, your bank controls when it appears.
Operator decision
[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: how quickly we send a refund once a cancellation is confirmed, and what we tell people about their bank posting it. The design drafted “within one business day” and “most post within 5 to 10 business days”. Neither has been verified against a real merchant account, and a stated refund date is a promise a customer will hold us to.]
8. Travel insurance
We do not sell travel insurance and we earn nothing if you buy it. If you are booking months ahead around non-refundable flights, a policy that covers trip cancellation is worth pricing.
Operator decision
[NEEDS OPERATOR DECISION: if an insurance product or a refundable-booking upsell is ever offered, this section has to change and the commercial relationship has to be disclosed here.]
